  I can only review this place based off of their service, which was AMAZING, their ambiance, which was AMAZING because it's second floor open air and ocean view, and their michiladas, which were GREAT.
  
  The only disappointment is that we stopped in here for Mexican food and there was none to be found. There were nachos and guacamole on the menu, and eyeing other tables, both looked good. But everything else on the menu was American food. They also get bonus points for greeting you with an ice cold hand/face towel.
  
  So if your tired of tacos and just want some American food, this is definitely a great option to get off the hot streets and cool off with an ice cold beer and warm Mexican hospitality.

  Great spot to put your feet up after walking El Malecon!
  
  Drinks are strong and the food is solid.
  
  The Molcajete is perfect to split with another if you're just looking for a snack.
  
  You can sit upstairs or downstairs, and either is a great option.
  
  4 stars only because it's a bit of a pricy option compared to other spots nearby.

  A couple of years ago this place grabbed my heart and I continue to go there when in Vallarta because of it.  The first time I went to the Cheeky Monkey was right after the Hurricane Patricia slammed the west coast of Mexico, somehow missed PV but did do damage to the inland areas.  Anyway, Cheeky Monkey was taking up food and money donations for one of the towns inland so I hit up the local MEGA and grabbed a few staples and I have been a fan of Cheeky since.  
  
  There are two things that make this place great and it's not the food.  Don't get me wrong the food is edible but the best thing is the view and second the margs.  Can never go wrong with a Lime in the Coconut Margarita.  
  
  They also have free wi-fi however if you are on the top floor it's not as great.  Also keep in mind that there is smoking allowed everywhere so do expect to be eating around smokers all the time.  I just drink so I am good :)!  
  
  I look forward to going back and hope that if they change, they only make the food better as the rest is already working for them.

  What an awful experience. This server chased us down the street after I PAID to use the bathroom. Forced us to buy a beverage and was a complete asshole. I paid for the bathroom. I shouldn't have been coerced and bullied into buying something I didn't want when I paid for a service I needed. Get some customer service in this bar. You're on the malecon for tourists. I'm a local ffs

  Highly recommended!!! I was here 6 year's ago and they still have $1 margarita's and $1 beers. The service is amazing, the drink menu is fun! Our favorite drink is the classic mojito with the add side shot. The view is amazing, you can watch the waves crash into the shore. We will be back. Oh please note they only accept cash no cards and I haven't seen an atm. When you order nachos you will need to purchase the cheese upgrade. The Wi-Fi is free and FAST!!!
